good news and bad news

→ Buffy Box Set on sale today at amazon for $69.99. And I thought I got a good deal getting it at $99 bucks back when I bought it. I think amazon usually sells it for $149 or there-about.
→ Jason Momoa, of SGA, -see icon- was apparently attacked last week and had to get 140 stitches in his face, and re-constructive surgery. Holy crap! I am beyond stunned at this news. Poor guy. I don't even know how to imagine anyone's face with 140 stitches in it. Jesus.
→ Loved Grey's Anatomy last night.
- Hey, I liked the intern storyline!
- Sadie is... completely nuts. (But I kind of like her, maybe. I hope she's not trouble... any MORE trouble that is.)
- I really liked the things the Chief said about Meredith and Cristina right before Lexie spilled the beans about Cristina (in the worst possible way.)
- Mark! Everything [
slybrunette] said and then some. The stuff with him and the little girl was adorable. Just, oh!
- I enjoyed Callie's conversation with Bailey. It makes me wonder if anything is going to come of that. If she'll try something new.
- Denny looking jealous was weird. If that was really Denny, who cared about her and her well-being, you'd think he'd want her to go with Alex. (Further proof that it isn't Denny?)
- I liked the scene with Cristina and Hunt on the steps. A lot.
- Okay the Mark/Lexie jokes had me tickled pink, I won't lie. This show is really just getting better and better. I don't care if people are hating on it right now. In so many ways it reminds me of why I love TV.
→ I am now about four episodes behind on Friday Night Lights. I don't know what my problem is there. I also haven't watched Pushing Daisies this week yet. With news of its cancellation, I may just try to stretch this out as long as possible, hehe. I can save them up for a rainy day!
→ I had yummy chocolate cake and pizza today for my birthday at work! I got a sparkly pink magic wand, also! Hehe. So adorable! I love my job.

Date: 2008-11-21 11:54 pm (UTC)How terrible about that guy. I haven't gotten to SGA yet but wow.

Date: 2008-11-22 12:18 am (UTC)Pushing Daisies, there's just enough episodes to make it kind of a fun weekend marathon, good for if you need a pick-me-up. (That's what I did with season 1)

Date: 2008-11-22 12:34 am (UTC)He probably has plastic surgery stitches, they are really tiny and there are tons of them, literally in an inch of skin, where there may be three or four regular stitches with PS ones there would be 8 or 10, but still 140, that's a freakin' lot.

Date: 2008-11-22 02:15 am (UTC)I hope you're right about the plastic surgery stitches. That would be much more preferable. Even so, 140. Holy poop! I hope he has a smooth recovery!

Date: 2008-11-22 03:22 pm (UTC)Meh, I hate it when I buy something for a lot of money only for it to go on sale two days later D:

Date: 2008-11-22 03:34 pm (UTC)Luckily I think I bought that like a year ago or something. So I don't feel ripped off or anything. lol.

Date: 2008-11-23 02:40 am (UTC)Callie and Baily should have more heart-to-hearts. It doesn't replace Callie-Mark tosses close to my heart, but I still loved that scene.

That's my thinking. In fact, I think if it was really Denny, he'd have left the first time Izzie told him to go away and really meant it. Hm.

Date: 2008-11-23 01:14 pm (UTC)I'm sorry you didn't like it. I'm loving it more all the time. Hehe.

Date: 2008-11-26 08:55 am (UTC)"I've got nothing," Racetrack says. When Anders doesn't respond, she elbows him, until he snaps around to face her.
"What?" he asks, clearly distracted.
"You won," she says, and he looks down at the table, almost as if he's forgotten they'd been playing. While he rakes in his winnings, she glances over at where he'd been staring, in time to see Lee leaning over a nearby table where Kara's sitting, alone. As she watches, she can see Sharon, out of the corner of her eye, walk in, feel the people around her stiffen. She can't quite look away as Sharon approaches Kara's table, and Lee leaves, muttering something.
Kara stays.
"Are you in or out?"
She turns to see Anders watching her, and musters a faint smile. "I'm in."
-
Later, when he slips out of her bunk in the darkness, tugging on his clothes, she knows she's not the girl he was thinking about.
It's all right. Neither is he.
