So, call me crazy, but as awesome as this line-up is, I was kind of burnt out by the end of it. I'm not used to watching three full hours of TV in a row. (What? I'm a grazer!)
I have been watching Friday Night Lights + BSG on Fridays up until now. I was waiting for it -- FNL -- to premiere on NBC to finish watching it instead of downloading it when it was on HDTV? HDNET? DirecTV? Idk!, but now with this line-up I think I'm going to end up doing that anyway. Course I could always watch it on NBC.com and be all legitimate about it -- whichever.
In other words, I was already maxed out at 2 hours in a row. Now with three? Man!
→ TSCC, 4.14, The Good Wound:
→ Dollhouse, 1.01, Ghost:
I can't wait for Echo to figure all of this out and team up with "Helo" to fight the organization behind the Dollhouse. This will set up them taking over the dollhouse. I'm thinking this will start late season 1 or season 2?
→ BSG, 4.15, No Exit:
I frakking knew there was a thirteenth! It's been my most persistent and long-held theory. (The missing 13th colony, Earth. It creates symmetry!) *does the neener neener dance*
The above might be slightly rambly/incoherent and I may have forgottensome a lot of things. No promo spoilers in the comments please. I've seen them but others may not have.

- I'm growing increasingly interested in the John Henry storyline. I still don't have a clue what the hell Catherine is up to, but there's something so strangely interesting about his development and his... well... "innocence." His one question for God is why he didn't use more ball and socket joints? Creepy, and yet... simple. Honest. I'm really curious to see where he's going. And what part Agent Ellison will play. I can't help but hope that with James as John Henry's moral center, it could be a good thing. Probably wishful thinking. But in all honesty, when John Henry tells Catherine that he knows she's metal, and wants to know what she's doing... he seemed, I dunno. Concerned. Like he knows she's up to no good?
- I'm a little torn up at the casting of Jonathan Jackson for Kyle Reese. First, he seems way too young. And of course I realize that Sarah's memory of him would be at least 16 (17?) years prior. Still he seemed a little too boy-ish. (It's Lucky Spencer for crying out loud.) I don't understand the significance of that particular hallucination. That coupled with all of the other things she's been seeing, are we supposed to wonder if Sarah's losing it? Because I'm starting to. And her looking up at Derek at the end and seeing Kyle? What's the significance of that?
- I liked the doctor and I feel like I've seen her before, just don't know where. Felt bad for her and her story there at the end -- especially when she asked Sarah how much of it was real. "I got shot." Heh.
- John kind of bored me in this ep, I won't lie. But I'm glad Cameron told him that in the future he'd have bigger things to worry about than Riley and that they didn't need to find her. He needs to hear it at this point.
- I'm a
littlelot sick of Jess and Riley, to be honest. They've been playing the same back and forth for a while and I just want them to get on with it. I think I liked Riley better when she was just an innocent in all of this. It could have made for an interesting character arc -- especially after the Mexico trip -- but now she seems like she's just a helpless pawn who's desperate for attention. (And, okay, relatively innocent.) But yeah, I'm so ready for that particular storyline to be over and done with.

- I was so glad to see Chief get his title back. So, so glad. I might have actually squeed.
- The Boomer/Chief reference (possible forshadowing?) was awesome. Boomer helping Ellen escape was also awesome. Are we on the road to redemption?
- John was totally creepy with all his talk of brain dissections.
- I love, love, the explanation that the final five created the other seven (eight.) But who the hell is Daniel? Is he Starbuck's dad? (Artistic, sensitive... pianist/artist?)
- Dammit the ship is falling apart. I really wanted there to be a secret chamber or something back there. But I'm glad the Admiral is willing to do what needs to be done to fix her. I hope it doesn't prove to be a mistake.
- Where the frak did they get that apple?
gigglemonster suggested it was cylon-engineered fruit, but I'm thinking it might be significant of something else. Plus, if the cylons had fruit technology there would have never been a mutiny. (The way to the heart is through the stomach, after all.) Algae, delicious apples? Delicious apples, algae? Decisions, decisions.
- Did I mention that I loved Ellen in this? So much. Her fear at the beginning and the sudden changeover when her memory came back -- that was awesome. I just love her role. And her calm and her confidence and her reason. And I love that Anders knows that she likes the water. And that he asked about her. Fic anyone? Please?
- Poor Anders. He's bald too now. He and Roslin should start a club. Did Cottle and PC really need to shave his entire head? It seems excessive. I'm guessing now that the bullet's out he's not going to remember anything. If he ever speaks again, that is. *frets*

That's really interesting! I wasn't even thinking along those lines but it makes sense. Daniel would have had to have found a way out of his box (if that's even what you'd call it) at some point though, right? idk. But I'm pretty sure Kara thought she was that other cylon for a second though.

And I, not surprisingly lol, agree with like ALL of this.
I think John Henry is really interesting and I love scenes with him and Ellison. That storyline I really enjoy. And yeahhhh Riley, I'm kinda totally over it as well lol
Dollhouse, I dig it! And, that's pretty much all I got for now but lol I really did enjoy it.
BSGGGGG I feel like I need to watch that one again because I didn't catch it all the first time
I LOVED Ellen though. John is evil and I wanna know who Daniel is lol I love your theory though, I'm so on board for that.
Bald!Sam = :( I hope he gets better
Chief = Yay Chief! I was so glad he got his title back lol that's what my first text to you last night was about
Boomer = Sweet! She could be good again, finally lol
Soo this comment is totally rambly I apologize. Basically Friday nights are overflowing with awesome.
ps. I had this really weird dream last night that you and I and Roslin ran a bowling alley. But she was like sad, depressed Roslin like she was a few episodes ago. And she would just like sit in her upstairs office and cry over the budget books and WE would have to do all the work and actually keep the bowling alley running and we were so angry with her. And then this really stupid annoying girl who used to be in my photo class tried to come shut us down...and that's kinda all I remember.
pps. Happy Valentines Day! :D ♥

Date: 2009-02-15 08:44 am (UTC)I like the Daniel twist, but I would be more impressed if it turned out to be someone other than Starbuck's dad though he seems a very likely candidate.

Date: 2009-02-16 06:55 pm (UTC)I knew there was a reason for Boomer staying with Cavils! I think we are definitely going in Boomer/Chief direction. Which makes me very happy indeed :D

Date: 2009-02-18 02:44 pm (UTC)(Ellen!)
I know I'm on the edge of my seat when every episode ends and I just want more. But there are so few episodes left that I want it to last forever. Dilemma! Hahaha.

Date: 2009-02-17 02:08 pm (UTC)I agree with you though. Looks like Echo might not last long as a blissfully ignorant active.
Also, Woohoo!Amy Acker! Even big scars on her face can't cover up the cute!
