I had two entries, they were exactly the same save for the titles I edited. I have no idea which one of these was in the top nine since I was unable to attend the conference due to classes. Hey! Great to see another finalist (getting ready to post mine too)! I liked yours a lot better than the winner, which I think won due to the poem and ease of airing (no music licensing). I would have thought the "editing" was more important than a voiceover. Ah well... Your editing was top-notch and loved the film noir look! Thanks for posting!

Were you at the conference? I wanted to go so badly but due to summer classes I wasn't able to go. It would have been nice to go and get some contacts at least! And BILL CLINTON was at the conference. Haha. He's my favorite (living) president. Haha.

So yeah um, what was I saying? I lost myself at Bill Clinton.

I agree I think the other contestant won because of the poem. Actually, all of my music and sound effects were from the music-box (?) account they allowed us to use. The poem video had music in it as well. It's very mellow and quiet though.

No, it was in NY and I'm from TX, so I would have had to fly there and I already have a big vacation planned for next month. Wish I could have gone though! I read there were about 8,000 people in the industry there, so who knows, maybe someone there still noticed our work.

I just posted my entry at vidding and my journal. Did they ever notify you about the winners? I asked Anthony if they planned to post the finalists online, but didn't hear back yet.

You know. Before I realized the promo had already aired, I e-mailed to find out when they were airing the winning promo but have not heard back yet either. Although the question is rather moot at this point. They have no use for us now! Haha.

Haha, I suppose not. Still, they should have let the 9 finalists know something. I hope they still use our entries for something else or at least feature them on their site. That would be cool. :)
