I love it more and more every damn time I watch it.
So me and your mother-in-law compared the two, I showed her yours again, and then I showed her the one from the link you gave me earlier today, the one that supposedly won.
And mom was pissed! LOL
She's like "are you kidding me?! I can't believe that, you tell KC her's should've won!"

Seriously though, this promo kicks so much ass. Its upbeat and exciting and the voice overs are awesome.

OMG!!! This is just...I have no words. You are amazing!!! You make some of the best vids I have seen and this promo is...still don't have word. This should have won!! But I guess like you said before on another post that people were going to see this and who know they might want to hire you or something. At least those people will know your name and how freaking talented you are. I have to admit that I will watch this over and over XD. Do you know who won? because this should have won. I was skeptical at first because they JUST announced the winner yesterday afternoon and this promo aired last night during the show. But when I looked at it it was clearly drawn from all of the same footage that I was given to use and definitely had that "fan video" feel to it. So yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the winner!

Okay, I'll tell you right now that yours should have won. The timing with the voiceovers and the images look completely professionally done. I think the only thing that gave away the fact that it was fanmade was the "Sam/Dean/Winchester" labeling. I guess the judges made their pick based on what looked least fanmade, because they were going to air it.

Even though they aired the winning vid, they should have given you the internship because you totally captured all the snarky/bittersweet/scary/action facets of SPN, and that echoing ending was AWESOME. Fantastic work!

Ah! Creepy icon! Hehe. Thank you so much. I actually submitted two versions of the same promos, one without the titles, and one with them. You were allowed to submit multiple entries. (Of course, I didn't know this until like, the day before I had to mail the promo in order for it to get in time. So it was just long enough to stick both titled and non-titled promos on the DVD I sent in haha. I wish I had known sooner. I would have gone crazy making all kinds of promos!

I actually hate the titles more and more each time I watch it. I was SO proud of those to begin with.

Were you at the conference? I wanted to go so badly but due to summer classes I wasn't able to go. It would have been nice to go and get some contacts at least! And BILL CLINTON was at the conference. Haha. He's my favorite (living) president. Haha.

I agree I think the other contestant won because of the poem. Actually, all of my music and sound effects were from the music-box (?) account they allowed us to use. The poem video had music in it as well. It's very mellow and quiet though.

I wish I could say that the B&W was some stroke of genius, but the video quality wasn't as good as it could have been, the media package they sent the contestants I mean, and so the black and white hid some of that. Given the tone of the video I may have done b&w anyway, but at the moment it was all about making it look better.

Damn. That is freaking gorgeous. Beautiful black & white, perfectly crisp editing, fantastic sound -- great voiceovers, sound effects, and choice of clips. I loved the ending and the use of the demon!Tessa, especially; they were both really effective. You managed to evoke an atmosphere both intensely creepy and actively dangerous, which I think is harder to do than it might seem at first. Absolutely amazing promo.

After viewing a lot of the entries yours is by far my favourite! You really caught the essence of the show. It would definitely have pulled me in if I wasn't already watching it. Though I must admit I did like the creepy poem of the winning entry.

Maybe next time. Who knows what sort of contest they'll be doing next year. I wasn't sure about the titles myself, and now I can barely stand to look at them, which is one reason I submitted my second entry without the titles. Honestly, if I hadn't found out last minute we could have more than one entry, I probably would have only submitted the one without titles, I was that unsure about them.
