001. So I don't understand Tumblr. I admit it. I have no idea what the point is or what it's for. Is it just like a blog? Even if someone were to explain it to me, I can't promise I wouldn't continue to be confused.
002. I still haven't found any books in present tense. You Shall Know Our Velocity turned out to be just plain old past tense. Though, I'm still thinking of reading it. I also got this book Rendezvous in Black which looks like it might be a fun read.
003. I was working on this Dollhouse video about two months ago and just gave up. I don't know if I'll ever finish it or any other vid, ever again. It's sad. But possibly true.
004. Regarding Dollhouse. I'm slightly disappointed in the season thus far. I keep waiting for this to turn into a full-on ensemble and it's still just the Echo show. And call me crazy, but the Echo show mostly bores me. (As does the Paul show.) I almost think I wish TSCC would have been renewed instead. It always seemed like a toss-up, but not right now.
005. I really really like Eastwick. Well, maybe I just like Stars Hollow. Haha. Either way, I'm having fun watching this show.
006. I may have signed up for
apocabigbang which is just the most hilarious thing ever. I haven't picked a fandom yet, and it's possible I'll chicken out at the last second. But yeah, it's a thought.
007. Stargate Universe. I don't hate it. I am curious to see more. I enjoyed the first three episodes. I like a lot of the characters. I'm just confused and intrigued enough to make this a regular thing.
008. I don't know if I've even talked about it on my LJ before but I was watching The Big Bang Theory at the end of last season. I think I've officially decided that I am going to give it up this season though. I'm just not laughing. Never was much of a sitcom person. Though Community and Modern Family are definitely making me laugh a lot this season.
009. I watch too much TV.
010. I know I promised/discussed a "life" post, but this is just as good right?

Date: 2009-10-13 06:28 pm (UTC)4) I don't care about Echo or Paul. Which is why I didn't even bother with last week's episode past glancing at it every time I saw Michael Hogan or Topher said something funny. Don't. Care.

Date: 2009-10-13 09:11 pm (UTC)You know, it took me a while to remember that I have seen that last episode you're talking about, that's how memorable it was.

Date: 2009-10-13 07:11 pm (UTC)I really did like your vids, but I understand if you've moved on. May I ask a silly question, but do you have Meant Well streaming somewhere? I recced it a few weeks ago and still think it's awesome. :-)
I think of your Jawyercita/California verse as semi-apocalyptic. Them against the world and surviving. Hmm. Now I want to reread your stories again, but I can't because you know, work. :-) But yeah, I always thought of the three of them in uncharted, unknown future territory.
There's such a thing as too much TV?

Date: 2009-10-13 09:14 pm (UTC)No I don't have it streaming. I could maybe try and remedy that only I don't really know where I can/want to upload stuff streaming these days. Don't let me forget though. It's still available for download however. Thanks for the rec!
Aw you know I kind of agree with that. Do you think they'd notice if I just added to that and changed a few details? LOL.

Date: 2009-10-14 01:34 am (UTC)A lot of people are uploading their vids to BAM vid vault. I still have mine on Vimeo. The thing with Vimeo is you can password protect it if you are worried. I could never forget you. You are one of my favorite vidders. Part of my vidding community even if you don't make vids anymore.
People might notice, but would love it anyway! C'mom post-apocalyptic Jawyercita! Only you could write it. ;-) Heeeeee! You've made me love those three, and I love post-apocalyptic worlds. :-)

Date: 2009-10-14 02:44 am (UTC)I think I might have signed up for BAM but just never used it. You know, it's possible I uploaded it to another streaming site and just forgot about it. Hahah. Entirely possible. I really can be that absent minded.
I will definitely consider post-apocalyptic Jawyercita. I have to think about it some more. I really love that genre (?) of story as well. I have no idea why.

Date: 2009-10-13 07:34 pm (UTC)Don`t worry, I signed up for the same Big Bang for some reason. We`ll see what happens, LOL.

Date: 2009-10-13 09:15 pm (UTC)It's because you have a long time to write it and it's only 10,000 words. It's very tempting!

Date: 2009-10-13 10:23 pm (UTC)YES!!! Don't get me wrong, I adore Eliza and I'm probably in the minority who doesn't think her acting is totally suck, but her character (and Paul's) just doesn't interest me! I have SO much more interest in Victor (!!!), Sierra, Boyd, Adelle, Topher, and heck, even Claire, and she's just a recurring guest star.
Let's hope it gets redirected toward the right path.

Date: 2009-10-13 11:25 pm (UTC)I feel the same way about Lost. The prime characters got so old so fast! I demand more side characters. :(

Date: 2009-10-13 11:42 pm (UTC)I groaned too. It was really like "WTF?!" I understand that they wanted to show us how Echo took control briefly rather than letting Terry run the entire show, but still! Not that necessary! (But it did give us Kiki!Victor so I guess I should be grateful because I laughed SO HARD when I watched that, I thought I was going to implode! XD)

Date: 2009-10-14 04:17 am (UTC)I'm not much for comedy anymore either, these days. I saw the first episode of Modern Family. I did think it was cute, but I think I'm just going through a drama phase. (Maybe that's why, despite my best intentions, I still haven't gotten around to checking out Community...)
If you're up for an awesome new drama, and aren't already watching it, I strongly recommend FlashForward. It is crazy in the most awesome way possible. Did I say awesome enough? AWESOME!

Date: 2009-10-16 05:42 pm (UTC)I usually like drama more as a general rule. I'm REALLY PICKY when it comes to comedy. Not that I don't enjoy comedy, but not a lot lives up to my standards.
I think I've decided not to watch Flashforward for my own reasons. Not sure if it's the right decision. I can always catch up if it turns out to be something I need to watch.

Date: 2009-10-14 04:43 am (UTC)5. I'm happening to like it quite a bit, too. I like all three of the lead actresses.
7. I am liking it more than I thought I would. I see it growing to be better over time. Never places over the original Stargates but it IS still Stargate so I do love it.
8. Aw, sad. I think it's still hilarious. I'm laughing my butt off because there's so many geeky jokes! That I get!
9. I watch more.
10. Yes.

Date: 2009-10-16 05:33 pm (UTC)5. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I gotta say the end of the last episode was kind of a "you lost me," moment, just because it was a weird reveal.
9. I don't know if that's possible, but if anyone could do it you could.

Date: 2009-10-14 02:16 pm (UTC)002 Don't remember if I ever read a present tense book (I've seen some fanfic in the present tense though). Do you know GrammarGirl's blog? She wrote an article about present tense books. Scroll to the bottom for a short, incomplete list of popular novels in the present tense. http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/present-tense-novel.aspx
004 I may have to agree that Dollhouse 2 has been really slow. In retrospect the pacing is just as slow as the first season started. But after the fast changing latter episodes, we hoped they could keep the momentum. I heard that Dollhouse had an half-season guarantee BUT a cut in budget; I wonder if that short-changed the rest of the cast? Except for Echo, Paul, & Topher, the rest has have their hours cut short. There are episodes when Sierra, Victor, and even BOYD don't appear :( I wish they'd get to the business of the Dollhouse-mythology arc but alas, it still seems engagement of the week blahs.
005 Stars Hallow? Like Eastwick might crossover with Gilmore Girls???
006 apocabigbang sounds interesting - I haven't heard of it before. Might be a gentler alternative to NanoWriMo.
009. NO! really? (Well, guilty here too!)

Date: 2009-10-16 05:35 pm (UTC)005. No, but that could be cool. They totally film on the Stars Hollow set though.
006. Definitely gentler.

Date: 2009-10-15 12:16 pm (UTC)002. I may have a book for you, but I have to find it on one of my many unorganized bookshelves.
003. I want to see it! Please? If I beg will that help?
004. I liked the first episode of season two for obvious guest star reasons. I haven't watched any after the second episode.
008. I want to give Big Bang Theory a try but it doesn't really seem that funny to me, or maybe I just don't get the jokes. LOL.
no subject
Date: 2009-10-16 05:39 pm (UTC)003. Begging might possibly help you see it, but won't necessarily make the short amount of it I have done any longer.
008. I think sometimes the point is people don't get the jokes. They might even be made up. Who knows! But I don't know it's just not that funny to me anymore. And there's a huge portion of the series that has NEVER been funny to me so the portion that I did used to like failing is not making that better.
