And the whole "why did you say you're sorry?" exchange was gut-wrenching. It's hard to believe I care about these characters already!

Can I just say that Walton Goggins is awesome? I'd like him to play a good guy sometime soon, though. LOL

Whew! Okay, so I really liked it. I'm satisfied. Good first episode with well done set up for what looks like some interesting things to come. It should be a helluva fun ride!

I think for me it was more of an "oh my gosh this is GOING to be such a good series" feeling. The episode itself was a great set-up, but not "blow me a away" good.

I agree. I never did watch Deadwood, but I've loved him in pretty much everything I've seen him in. I haven't seen everything he's done and I know there are some stinkers -- but he's always fun to watch, as you said.

i watched it today, and i'm kind of diggin' it. and thank you FX, for putting walton goggins back on tv - he manages to be charismatic and creepily repelling, which is tough to do.
