NEW RULE:
Movies and TV Shows are no longer allowed to make posters/promos/trailers that are cooler than the actual product. That's just false advertising.

This is in no relation to me seeing 127 Hours tonight. I liked it.

ETA: Here is an unrelated example. The "right" version is actually the real DVD cover. I made the "wrong" version. With the "right" version, you have no misconceptions about what you should expect. (Go Disney!) With the "wrong" version, you're just blindsided:
RIGHT
WRONG

I know, right? I always feel so duped! This is especially true with posters/dvd art when I'm perusing the shelves of my local "video store." (Download hub?) Ahem. Not fair.

lol, how I wish I knew what sparked this. But, basically, YES.

btw, I would totally watch your version of Beverly Hills Chihuahua. It looks like some nitty gritty docudrama on the trials and dangers of being a stray dog in an otherwise glamorous, busy city. Or something like that.

You know it's really just one of those niggling thoughts that I've had for quite some time, haha. Definitely not an isolated incident.

I know! Now I wish the movie for my DVD art actually existed. Haha.

I hate when that happens with trailers. You see a trailer for a movie that looks like SO MUCH FUN only to watch said movie, and wish you could get back the hour, or so you (feel like) was wasted on the movie. Meh.
