Day 3 - For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write? {I'm only doing a few of these!)

Dawson's Creek: I couldn't really tell you. I loved Pacey and Joey but I'm not sure I did a very good job writing them.

The Vampire Diaries: Caroline, Stefan, and Tyler. If it isn't already obvious. I find Tyler the most shippable character on that show so he's actually probably topping this list.

Lost: Jack, Claire, Sawyer... with Alex and Richard bringing up the rear.

Dollhouse: Alpha & Echo (I would totally say Mag and Zone if I'd ever written those characters, LOVE THEM.)

Harper's Island: I don't really have a favorite. Maybe Henry and Shane?

Battlestar Galactica: Kara, Leoben, Sam, Chief... and though I have never written her in fic (a tragedy, yes) I write Ellen Tigh in my brain every day.

Day 4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
Right now it's Tyler Lockwood from The Vampire Diaries, but I tend to find myself injecting Sawyer or Jack into Lost fics when they're not really in the fic. Claire too, but she's usually the subject of the fics she's in. I can't think of anybody else really.

Day 5 – If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
I probably subtly insinuated they were sleeping with/had slept with one or more of the characters that the fic was about. Is that bad?

Day 6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?
I have no preference whatsoever. I feel like I write male and female characters equally and I enjoy them equally.

Day 7 – Have you ever had a fic change your opinion of a character?
I think any time I write a character for the first time this tends to happen. I feel like there are characters that I have written who I only found marginally interesting but after writing them I kind of fall in love with them or fall in love with a pairing. I think Alpha/Echo is a good example of that. Because I didn't have the highest opinion of either of them before writing them, but I ended up loving them. after writing them together. There are other instances where I feel like writing a character hasn't necessarily made me change my opinion on a character, but it's made me appreciate them more. Claire Littleton of Lost and Tyler Lockwood of The Vampire Diaries are good examples of that.

Talking about the answers to a few of these with you was quite interesting - and surprising!

And either way, awesome!

Ps. I particularly enjoy the spacing in this entry ;)

I was thinking about you the other day...the actress who played Alex was in a Maroon 5 music video, which I saw for the first time the other night. I thought, "Hi, Alex! I have to tell [livejournal.com profile] crickets!"

Is that bad?

Nope! It's your fic...do what you want! :-D

I love that we have favorite characters in common. It makes me very happy to remember that. :-)

Claire! Alex (I so loved Alex. :-)) Kara!!!! I always forget you love Kara! I don't know why I forget that.

If you ever write Mag and Zone I'll be right there to read it. :-) And Jawyercita. I miss it!!!!!
