Well, sometimes she comes on as a bit too strong, bit too cocky and full of swagger for a lot of people. But then for others, that's why they love her. Really depends.
And then the whole love quadrangle that doesn't die, which will come a bit later if you haven't gotten to that part yet, brings up a lot of tension. That's all in the fun, for me.
Battlestar Galactica, IMHO, is the best series out there. Ever.
It's definitely on the list for me right now for me. It moved to the top VERY quickly. Haha.
Ah, she does have attitude. I suppose that would put some people off.
And the love quadrangle lol. I think on lost we call these "crapazoids." I have gotten there but I have to say I really like it! I mean, it may be just that I'm seeing all these events unfold in a matter of weeks from my perspective, rather than the years that the other fans have been watching. Which can make a difference.
But trust me. NOTHING could be worse than the one on LOST. Haha.
I think I like Kara most of all because I relate to her in some ways. In other ways I don't relate at all - but I still love her. Unless we're speaking metaphorically. Hahaha.
Oh, Lost. I watched the pilot and a few random episodes and got mindfrakked so hard I decided I couldn't take the strain. *laugh*
But Katee says it's good, so maybe when I have time (and when I don't have school), I might check it out.
And, yes, the quadrangle is so very fun. And Kara has chemistry with just about every character in the show because, well, she's Starbuck.
Like me, really. Can't help but love her and get pissed when she messes up and all. Up to the point that my sister has to nudge me a little and say, "She's not a real person. Okay?"
Then I go, "Like hell she is. Starbuck pwns all." *laugh*
I'm pretty new to the fandom too...I think the reason some people don't like her is they find her too cocky, insubordinate, drunk, and out of control. Pretty much the same reasons I think she's awesome!!! hahaha It's all a matter of perspective. For me, she represents the 'frak you' way of living that many of us WISH we could be like but don't have the guts.
And I love the icons/icons. Even though I'm a huge Kara fan, I think my fav in this set is icon 10. What a great cap!!! haha
