→ I don't understand spam that is just nonsense words or jumbled letters. I never have. I understand spam that's advertising garbage. Or spam that's trying to trick you into clicking a link, but nonsense no-link spam has always been a mystery to me. Anyone know what's up with that?

TV UPDATE: I am all caught up on Grey's and I have no thoughts really other than being satisfied that I am caught up. Because of medical issues (totally cramping my lifestyle, yo!) I am so behind on television that this is one of the few shows that I have been able to keep up with and I am watching literally no new shows of the year. (What new shows are worth watching, you guys?) The other shows I am actually caught up with (as of this week) are TVD, The Originals, and Parenthood. All of which I do have thoughts on but I am making a sneak-attack post at work so don't have time to expand on that. Except this: Parenthood = All The Tears!!!

Other questions: Why is LJs homepage all malformated but everything else works fine? What's up with my people? How is everybody? Is it time for The Killing yet? Do you guys know I have literally written ZERO fics this year? WOW.

Parenthood! Have you seen Shameless?

I have NOT seen Shameless. Sadly. I have heard it was an amazing season but I am still a little torn up about the lack of Steve/Jimmy and Karen that I know I will be facing when I finally do watch that season. I have so many emotions tied up with Karen by herself as a character (independant of Lip) and I have so many Fiona-related emotions tied up with Jimmy/Steve that it's going to be hard to move past them.

Aww. I won't spoil you, but it is a season worth watching if you're a Shameless fan. Your posts inspired me to watch. And Liam is growing up and talking which is fun. :-)

What I will say: Wait until you are truly ready to watch.

I think the only two new shows I've stuck with this year are Masters of Sex and Agents of SHIELD. It's worth noting that I really hated SHIELD at the beginning but now it's the show I look forward to the most every week. The good takes awhile to develop (like episode 6 was the first one I legit liked I think), but man now it is my FAVORITE. Talk about a turn-around. If you like the MCU, I especially recommend it.

Parenthood... so consistently amazing. <3

Your recommendation in this comment for Agents of SHIELD has made me decide to marathon the crap out of that show the second I get the chance. I am not a big MCU fan (didn't even know what you were referring to at first) but I think in a TV-world I could totally be down for it. Less explosions, car chases, and flying robots I presume, smaller budget, smaller focus, longer format forcing deeper character treatment = more my style.

Parenthood. Gah. The finale was in some ways great and in some ways infuriating, but that last part is probably just because it's over for the season and now I have to wait. DARNIT.

Yay! Let me know if you need any help finding the episodes. I've been thinking about why it took so many episodes to hook me, and this is what I came to: The strength of the show (like many other Joss projects) is its focus on found family, and SHIELD is SO good at this, but when the show starts the team is just getting to know one another and their relationships take a little time to develop. It's definitely worth waiting out though, because once the team is bonded the magic is *there*. And you're definitely right about the differences between the show and the movies, I'm happy to say. :)

Parenthood... omg, the car thing in the finale is what really got me crying. Dammit show.

*hugs* Still here, anyway! Hope you are fine. I don't get the nonsense spam either! Haven't seen the malformatted homepage though.

It MAY have been my browser at work and was an "It's just you" thing, re: the malformatted homepage.

*waves* HI! Glad you are still here. I am doing okay! Just crazy busy!
