It's about a family, an ex-con, an MMA gym and it's owners and some of its fighters. It's a sports show in the same way FNL was a sports show, which is to say it's really not. Like 10-15%. It's actually a drama and a very good one. I wish I was better at summing things up and that I had more time. (Gotta log off real quick.) But just know it's fabulous and has a stellar cast.
I gave it a try (well, two actually) but didn't like it. :( Having said that, I'm still thinking of maybe giving it another go because I keep seeing GIF sets on Tumblr and Frank Grillo makes my mind drop deep, deep into the gutter.
He is lovely and is so lovely in this. I really think I was SOLD on the show by episode three. When they really start developing Jay's character is when I am 100% in. He's pretty much my favorite.
Did Grillo's character and his former best friend (can't remember either of their names, sorry) have any slashy UST further on the the series? Because I remember I kept thinking that this could potentially be interesting.
I haven't seen the last two. Debating on whether or not to wait until after my surgery or knock them out before. I will probably be VERY bored afterward so I should probably wait!
Ugh yes. You totally should and it totally would! I am LOVING it. Basically. And I presume that icon is from Warrior which is an amazing (underrated) A+++++ movie that I love so much it's gross. And Frank Grillo (Edgerton's coach in the movie) is also in Kingdom, if that's any draw to you.
