Pretty Little Liars - Mid-Season Finale

So I am all caught up. I actually think... I liked it. Quite a bit actually. It was really satisfying to me. I think they did a really good job of tying many through-lines together, although I'm sure if I allow myself to think about it too long that something, somewhere along the way, is going to add up incorrectly, lol. So I will try not to analyze it too much. I was totally right about Charles being trans and Sara not being on the up and up, I totally should have put two and two together and figured CeCe was Charles. I think the actress did a pretty decent job, and even though there is no real way to excuse all the batshit crazy that CeCe/Charles/A has done, I am way more interested in making her a sympathetic character than a straight up villian. It's what the show did with Allison and with Mona. A's been a straight up villain for nearly the entire run of the show, now that there's been a reveal I am glad that they've made her a real character with a truly tragic back-story. I loved that Allison was the one to have sympathy for her and that at the end the rest of the squad was trying to talk her off of the ledge instead of wanting to push her off. That was nice. Game over. I also thought Emily looked amazing in her prom get-up and totally cheered when she knocked out Sara. The first time jump to post-grad brought tears (I'm so easy, guys) and the second time jump was really welcome. I love the idea of fast forwarding five years. I'm so excited to see what happens next.

Graceland - To Date

I didn't actually need to cut this for spoilers, I just have to say I am glad I have my crew back. I am all caught up as of this weekend and this season is five billion times better than last season. My god. Ugh. Loving loving loving this show! One thing I am really loving is the relationship between Charlie and, basically everybody. She is so the house mom, guys. And also her burgeoning friendship with Amber was so surprising. When she sent her the frog. Ugh. My heart. Seriously.

Mr. Robot - To S1E3

I don't have a lot to say about the next two eps but I do have a few things:
1. How did I not recognize Carly Chaikin (aka Dalia Royce) in ep1? She is GREAT here.
2. So he's playing a guy with severe social anxiety, but Rami Malek has chemistry with basically everybody. It's confusing!!!
3. Tyrell is seriously fucked up. Like. What? So disturbing. When he met the homeless guy and started putting on the gloves I had no idea what he was up to. He is severely, severely demented. I sincerely hope they don't try and make him sympathetic. Because I am just not having it. With the obsessive cleanliness and with him being clearly psychotic, I am getting major Patrick Bateman vibes from him.
4. On the same note, I am having trouble feeling the same feelings about Mr. Robot himself. Despite the fact that he pushed Elliot off the railing. I make no sense.

I haven't really decided what to make of the PLL finale. I expected... I don't know, more of a shocker. CeCe being Charles didn't really sit well with me, and Sara's involvement had been so obvious for such a long time that I just got frustrated that the girls' didn't figure it out sooner. *sighs* Oh well. I still think season six was vastly superior to anything since 3A.

See, I told you that Graceland was so much better this season! :D I'm glad you're back to enjoying it. S2 was such a mess, I'm so happy they got their shit together. (The writers, that is. Not the characters. I doubt that any of them are going to get their shit together anytime soon....)

I feel like PLL is one of those shows that can make all kinds of crazy mistakes and pull a lot of wild stunts, but in the end I still get drawn back in just because it's so fun.

I'm going to have to catch up on Graceland in the USA app. Soon!!!

tyrell does not get any less fucked up, and i'm pretty sure that's the most spoiler-free thing i can say about him. he's just a walking ball of batshit. and i'm really impressed by rami malek's ability to play someone with severe social anxiety because yeah, he's got chemistry with big chunks of the rest of the cast.

I still haven't finished this show. I was moving the week of the finale and I haven't had a chance to pull it up on the USA app. I am going to do that SOON.

I admit at first I wasn't crazy about the A reveal, but it did make sense and I thought they explained it well. I knew Sara was up to no good, but I was disappointed with her being Red Coat only because I thought that should've been a character that's been around longer. But overall it was a good episode, I'm looking forward to seeing where the show goes from her.

I do think they explained it really well, despite me realizing that this was clearly not a part of the plan the entire time. I have a feeling they've known it would be CeCe for a while, but definitely not from the beginning.

I'm always ready for my PLL. Sad that it's ending soon.

Your most recent entry can't get comments and I just HAD to comment on SYTYCD!! I watched it last night, a day late but I wasn't spoiled. I totally agreed with the top two. And I think I would have been happy with either winner but slightly disappointed too, either way. They should have BOTH won. So my disappointment was that the 2nd place person was so close last season and I loved her then and I was excited for her to come back and I would have been thrilled for her to win. She was amazing at her versatility. I also think she might have been a better back up dancer for JLo. But I also would have been disappointed for the other one, how she came back for another audition and took their criticisms and she was amazingly versirile too.

GREAT season, and I'm considering going to see the live tour. I personally loved Jim too, and although I agree he maybe wasn't the MOST versitile, he was SO DAMN GOOD and I loved him with Jaja. And the depression performance. And with Alex.

Oh yay! I totally forgot you watched this. I think we've talked about it once before!

I wasn't sure who I wanted in the top two. Gaby was definitely a favorite of mine (and I knew she'd be the winner from maybe the 2nd or 3rd performance ep) but I didn't have someone this season that I NEEDED to win. Usually I get so wrapped up in it. Like last season I was so bummed that Zack ended up 4th. (But I'm glad they brought him back as an all-star.)

Speaking of All-Stars, I am SO TICKLED PINK that they've brought Joshua in as an all star. He is one of my favorites from way-back! Him and Katee were my favorite couple EVER. (Actually that's the first season I REALLY paid attention to the show. My parents have watched since the beginning so it's always been in my periphery but season 4 was what really drew me in!) I absolutely LOVEEEEE that Cat calls Joshua Sunshine. It makes me so sublimely happy for some reason, lol.

I really really want them to do like an All-Star tour at some point even though schedule wise I'm sure it's impossible to do. But I would SO buy tickets for that.
