I started Playing House on USA before I moved and haven't had a chance to finish it. I'm definitely going to finish it as soon as possible. LOVED IT.

Just this week I started The Mindy Project on Hulu and I completely adore it. So good! I already posted about this once today. Definitely means I'm into it.

I actually really enjoyed Blood and Oil. I haven't had a chance to catch the second episode but I'm definitely giving it a shot. A lot of people are comparing it to Dallas but I definitely feel like it's a successor of Revenge in a big way. Revenge only kept my interest for 1.5 seasons though. So that's not necessarily a good thing. But I already feel like I am more invested in more of the characters here. We shall see!

I'm at a place (a no-cable-having, I get TV through antenna, place) where I can't DVR anything, so I need to make tough decision about which shows to watch live and which shows are actually worth the time to watch online through Hulu/Network apps/*cough*etc. After a totally bat!crazy 2nd episode, think I've decided that iZombie is going to trump Scream Queens in a big way, but then... I already knew that as soon as I realized they'd be sharing a timeslot. So tonight I'll be tuning into iZombie and will probably only catch Scream Queens if I find the energy/interest to watch it on the Fox app for my roommates Roku box.

I am really excited for The Vampire Diaries this week. I know most of you (all of you?) have given up on this show, but I still love it. I'm really excited for this season.

Speaking of TVD, I'm not sure I'm going to give The Originals my time this year. My interest in that show is now next to zero. There are parts of the show that I just love. But there are parts that just bore me to tears. Not sure it's worth it. We'll see!

I really want to try and watch the first two eps of Quantico. It didn't interest me that much but I have a friend who liked the first episode enough to watch more and so I want to see if it's any good. I may hate it, but I'm at least curious now. Before she told me she liked it I had very little interest at all.

I missed last week's episode of Grey's Antomy but I'm still watching. I'll probably try to watch TVD live and I'll watch Grey's on the ABC App or Hulu later in the week.

Some loose ends from summer that I'm still tying up are Young and Hungry and Switched at Birth. Just an episode (or two?) behind on both. Both I still find enjoyable most days!

I still never got a chance to finish the Mr. Robot finale. It aired the week I moved. Somebody fill me in?

Two mildly interesting TV things.

I don't get a lot of face-time with an actual TV screen these days. I also no longer have Netflix so I checked out the offerings on Hulu Plus and some of the other TV apps on my phone and discovered Secrets and Lies and Mr Robot.

Mr Robot is something I'd been meaning to check out ever since I'd seen a preview a while back, but I forgot it existed and therefore have missed all the episodes so far. But luckily for me they have all the way back to the pilot on the USA app and I was able to watch the first episode (and part of the second) the other night. LOVED IT. I can't wait to dive deeper into this one, but am obviously way behind so no spoilers please!

I hate to admit it, since it's clearly supposed to make him abnormal, but I was so on board with some of Elliot's thoughts on our modern world. Why don't you have a facebook? - Because I hate facebook. Haha. Finally, some representation for the facebook-less folks out there. ;)

The other show, Secrets and Lies did cross my radar a bit when it was on last season, but I never got a chance to check it out. I heard it was a self-contained season with a single mystery, which appeals to me, and so when I saw Hulu Plus had the entire first season I thought I would give it a go. Finished it a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it.

No plot spoilers, I promise... There were some really great moments throughout and the standout for me was the relationship between Ben and Dave. I absolutely loved their dynamic. That last scene with the two of them and Natalie got me right in the feels. Yes, I openly cried.

A couple not-so-good things: I do feel like they kind of screwed up with the Jess character. Despite having an actual canon reason she would behave that way, it just didn't work for me. Plus, and I totally get that it's right in the title and that's the point of the show, but all of the secrets and lies exposed were a bit over the top at times. Still, it was entertaining and completely addictive, so I would definitely recommend it. It's only ten episodes and can totally be gobbled up in about a week or so if you're interested in a fun mystery. I mean, not Harper's Island level fun. But still... fun.
