→ I need to talk about things. I've been a bad flister lately I think. I feel like part of it is having two jobs now and less time. And the other part of it is just random not-posting-fun-things-for-no-reason. I apologize, please forgive me.

→ Anybody remember last year when I was doing that cute animal poll and then I totally forgot about it? Yeah, me either.

→ I just want to say hello to everyone attending Vividcon this year. I know you all will enjoy it and personally I am just excited for the new vids to start cropping up! Yay for new vids.

→ I keep thinking about how there's so much TV starting back/starting anew this fall and my brain starts to leak out of my ears. I have no idea how I'm going to watch everything I want to watch. It's not going to be easy, but by gosh I'll give it a try! One show I'm looking forward to that I've heard pretty much nobody talking about is called Whitney. It's a comedy and it's coming on NBC (don't quote me on that) -- it looks pretty clever. I'm also super excited to see The Beek playing himself in Apartment 23 at mid-season. I have no idea why this excites me so much, but I have this weird sort of love for him now. I blame twitter. (And those GIFs from last year.)

→ True Blood? What can I say, I haven't truly watched it since the second episode of the season. I have skimmed through all the rest. Basically I am aware of what's happening with Jason, Jessica, Bill (sorta), Sookie (sorta)... and everyone else I have only paused long enough to get bits and pieces. *shrug* I may or may not legitimately catch up eventually. Currently it's leaning toward not. We'll see!

→ Haven! I haven't watched last week's yet, but it's still filling that Haven-size hole in my TV scheduling. It's a simple show and I enjoy it. Duke is still my favorite. The end.

→ The Glades. Meh. I have no idea what their ratings are like but I'll be surprised if they're renewed for a third season. It's just not as fun as it was last season. I really wish they'd delve a little deeper. I want to keep loving it because I actually do have an affection for these characters, but it's kind of hard when they don't put any real effort into being something more than open and shut case of the week.

→ Entourage! (Look! I am excited!) I am a little perplexed by the fact that A) I ever watched this show in the first place, let alone from the start, B) The characters are so well-defined C) It's been on so long, D) It's ending, and E) That this season is turning out to be so darn good! I could do without certain recurring guest stars, but overall I am just enamored with this show again and I feel like by the time it's over that I won't ever want it to end.

→ Parks & Rec. Finally watched it (am still watching it). Skipped the entire first season which was nearly physically painful for me. I am such a completist and it goes against my entire tv-watching nature. But I was doing this whole "let me watch everything I can on netflix if they're going to overcharge my ass." And it sort of happened and now.. I'm just a few episodes away from the season 3 finale. And I've enjoyed myself. Imagine that.

→ LUTHER. This show has a serious problem with creepy killers who target women in the most fucked up, brutal, creepy way possible. Enough with that already. But aside from that, I'm loving this show. It's so dark and twisty and has a great cast and good writing and Idris Elba, who has more screen presence than you can shake a stick at. (Ruth Wilson too.) Good show. Watch it.

→ Hi new friends!

→ I think I'm done for now.

Whew! That's a lot of tv. And yes! I remember your animal poll with cute-as-buttons animals! :D

I approve of you skipping the first season of Parks and Rec. I say that and it is my favourite show on right now. You can always go back and watch it after you've finished S3. Every episode has a few good jokes, though it does not hit its stride until S2.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite show but it's a lot better than it was when I caught it during it's first season. I hated it then! I like vowed to never ever watch it again after seeing one episode. lol. Well look at me now.

Haven! And another Duke fan; we are hard to come by. I have this not-so-secret desire for Duke to hook up with Audrey, but I am multi-shipper as they come, so the sky's the limit. I'm worried for him, I am. Stupid tattoo man.

Parks&Rec is probably the thing I am most excited about. TVD is up there with Stefanus, but really, Leslie and Ben and Ron and Donna and Tom and April and their faces need to be back on my television already. Jerry can come too.

Duke is just. Yay. I love him. He makes me happy when he's on screen. His character is so fun and dynamic and snarky and a little grumpy but also awesome. How can you not like him?

I am like the most reluctant parks and rec fan ever. EVER. I hated it when I saw it in S1 and have avoided like the plague ever since. But I finally decided to give it a go and fully expected my opinion to NOT CHANGE one tiny bit. But here I am!

Ben? Meh. I do miss Mark though. I love Jerry. The only thing I dislike about this show, is actually how mean everyone is to him.

I mostly feel bad about all of Jerry's art that gets destroyed/ignored. It helps to remember he has a happy home life and that he gets to collect his pension in a year now :)

S1 is rough to get through. I quit the series when it first started until a bunch of LJ friends convinced it was worth getting through for the later seasons.

So much TV talk. Have you seen the Sons of Anarchy s4 stills?

No I haven't, but then I never watched season three. *hides*

Why? Are they good?

I'm totally shallow and have only really looked at the pics of Charlie....I'm LOVING his short hair this season, and hope he keeps it. So from what I have seen - yep, the pics are good.
I'm thinking s4 will be better than last season b/c from the one commercial I saw, they're back in Charming and dealing with more family/club issues rather than last season which was like Jax issues.

let me watch everything I can on netflix if they're going to overcharge my ass

Pretty much my exact thoughts. I added a whole bunch of shows to my list the other day because if they are going to start charging me $16 a month then I am going to make it worth my while. It also helped that they have obscure shows that I can't find it the library/cannot afford the &80/a season they charge on Amazon ((Road to Avonlea anyone?))

Also Parks and Rec got better when they added more people I think. It got funnier. :d

Hahah yeah I had literally just upgraded to a plan with discs that month too. I was so bummed! What timing!

Yes it does help that they have stuff you can't get anywhere else. Even online.

I was just going through my fall television schedule tonight (because that's a normal thing, right? organization is important) and it looks like it was assembled by a crazy person. I'm not sure how exactly I'm going to watch all the things, but I'm going to watch all the things, darn it.

I'm so glad you're watching P&R now! And saw up above that you liked Mark. That makes me so happy, you have no idea.

The first episode of Luther traumatized me so severely I haven't worked up the courage to go back yet. But one day.

I was that way with Game of Thrones for a long time--not one but two sexual assault scenes played partially for arousal in the first episode and ZOMG RACISM with the brown savages thing--but my sister convinced me to watch the rest and it was, indeed, much better (only one other rape scene played partly for arousal in the first season! >.<)/worth watching.

True Blood season 4 Sookie/Eric: it's like the season 4 Buffy/Spike episode, except longer and not as funny! IDK, I like Tara & her girlfriend and Jessica, and I'm so glad to have the Twi-hard TRUE LOVE between Sookie and Bill over, and I remain impressed that they haven't once played Jason being gang raped for laughs, but overall......

Lately I'm more obsessed with anime classics--Fullmetal Alchemist, Ghost in the Shell:SAC, and Paranoia Agent. *so good*.

You mean Something Blue? God I loved that. And you're right. It sorta is like that. Actually, amnesia Eric reminds me a lot of the actives from Dollhouse so it kind of gives me the heebs! But I haven't had a chance to sit down and watch their story unfold so I can't really judge it. I would need to catch up before I could do that!

I don't mind Sookie and Bill. *shrug* Sookie's love life is not really my focus on that show. In fact, I have no idea what is. Haha.

I watched all seasons of P&R but it took me ages to like it. Season 1 was...very,very bad. And I only kept on watching because everyone said it gets better. Season 2 was indeed better but I still didn't get why everyone was in love with it. And now it's still not my favorite show or anything (I have too many issues tbh. Can't stand Tom,I hate how everyone treats Jerry etc.) but I like it well enough to watch season 4 :)

I don't mind Tom as much as I should. The Jerry thing is my biggest beef with the show. I mean it just honestly feel so disingenuous when you compare that to how the characters are in every other situation. I never find it funny.

Count me in as excited for Apartment 23 (which I believe was originally titled "Don't Trust The Bitch In Apartment 23" ROTFL) as well! I have quite a fondness for Krysten Ritter ... and the Beek.

Duke is my favorite, too, lol. We're a rare breed from the looks of the fandom ;P

Oh wow, I didn't know that. I also very much like Krysten Ritter. I have only seen her in a couple of things though so it's kind of inexplicable. And always in small roles. So she (and the Beek) are a big part of my excitement for this series.

DUKE! I can't understand why he wouldn't be more popular. I don't hang out in the fandom much so I didn't realize he was such an underdog. But if that's true, it explains a little about why I like him. I often root for underdogs.
