→ Happy happy burfday to [livejournal.com profile] falseeeyelashes!!!

→ This is weird. It bugs me when people in the library ask me for scrap paper when they really mean a blank sheet/several blank sheets of computer paper. Cause first of all, I go to get them some scrap paper and then it turns out that's not what they want. And second of all, it's totally disrespectful to those perfectly good sheets of paper! I have to cover their little paper ears! Scrap paper? Hah! Not even!

→ Random SGA mumblings. I need to go looking for John/Ronon fic. I've decided. But I haven't decided whether or not to wait until after I watch s4 which will be just plain hard. But I may be able to contain myself. I wanna read some McShep too. Which won't be hard to find, I'm told. ;)

→ I haven't finished a vid since March. I couldn't even do anything for VVC much as I thought I wanted to. This makes me kind of sad. I feel like I'm waiting for something. But the question is... what?

→ My [livejournal.com profile] rounds_of_kink due dates are swiftly approaching. So why is my notebook still blank?

→ In addition, I've decided I'm crazy.

Why?

Well. I have two books from the library to read. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and the Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide by Douglas Adams. But I also have a couple free books I picked up the other day at the book store (no, that is not a euphemism for shoplifting) which are Hawkes Harbor and The Ha-Ha. I also plan on reading [livejournal.com profile] smercy's epic Billy!fic of epicness, which I have thusly printed out.

Plus I have like, four-thousand episodes of Who, dueSouth, Torchwood, SGA, Veronica Mars, and Life on Mars (no relation) to watch over the rest of the summer. Clearly my eyes are bigger than my attention span. Someone needs to knock some sense into me.

Oh, I also rented our copy of the Band of Brothers set from the library. What the frak, KC? What? The? Frak?

001. Last week I finished season 1 of the new Dr. Who, in my fun challenge with [livejournal.com profile] mistojen. ex-ter-min-ate! ) Next up is Torchwood, as per my agreement, and I have yet to decide whether I'll be watching season 2 of Who.

002. Speaking of sci fi shows that I never thought in ten million years I'd ever watch, I'm coming down to the end of season 2 of Stargate Atlantis, and I'm going to try to see if I can finish three and four before the new season premieres. Sci fi really needs to learn how to release their DVDs a little longer than two days before the new seasons premiere to give late-comers like myself a chance to catch up. That's just silly. I don't have any real comments on season two yet, other than I love all of the characters and I'm anxious to catch up so I can participate in fandom, at least as a reader, without fear of being spoiled. Not that it's that serial or cliff-hanger-y. But just to be on the safe side! Also, it does not surprise me now that, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] barefoot_chick, before I ever watched the show I'd read fics with John and Rodney starring as dolphins or ice cubes. This show just lends itself to crack-tastic fic like that.

003. Creatively speaking, I'm a bit frustrated at the moment. I have both writer's block, and vidder's block. I was trying to work on a VVC non-attending premiere vid that I started ages ago, but I'm just completely unable to do anything with it. Maybe it's the pressure (zomg VVC!) or maybe I'll just never vid again. Hah! It's been since March since I released a vid. That's just... crazy. Writing has been more recent, so I'm not too worried there, especially after coming up with all those prompts at [livejournal.com profile] rounds_of_kink! When the claiming goes up some time today, maybe I'll snag one or two and see what I can come up with.

001. I watched The Invisible yesterday with my dad and I swear I'd forgotten how pretty Callum was in that movie. Just... yeah. Is it wrong that I want to read or write Larson/Annie fic now?

002. I have so much SGA to catch up on but for some reason I have been avoiding watching it. I think it may be because the hugest chunks of it I've watched have been when I've been feeling really crappy. So... it's psychological? I think I'm allergic to Sheppard or something.

003. I made this crazy-ass deal with [livejournal.com profile] mistojen, all her idea by the way, that I'd agree to watch one season of Who and two seasons of T'wood if she watched the first three seasons of BSG. So I'm about four eps into Who. (Which, dude, cliffhanger, so episode five is going to be watched tonight.) Admittedly, it's a little too cheesy and campy sci fi for me, but I enjoy the dynamics between the Doc and Rose so I'm willing to look past the silly stuff for the good of... keeping up my end of the bargain. Hehe.

Watch, by the end of this she'll have me hooked or something. Have I been duped? Though I feel a bit badly because I've got a leg up on her, I already know a lot about the Who-verse and T'wood. (Yes that's what I'm calling it.) Because of my oh-so-knowledgeable flist, of course. *glomps*

004. Been putting this last part off. Supernatural and me? I think... we're divorced? i wish i knew how to quit you, show. show me how? )
