→ All Lohan jokes aside, Michael Trevino is awesome in this set by Tyler Shields. Minus that weird bloody nose one at the end. LOL. What no one had a tissue? The video was good but not enough Trevino and way too much Lohan.


→ So apparently Microsoft just bought skype and is re-naming the company "MS Skynet." You know, like Skynet from The Terminator "mythology." I sense a Sarah Connor Chronicles marathon coming on.

→ Speaking of Tyler Shields, he did finally post his blood painting along with a video. In the earlier articles about this "controversial" piece of art, he (or the authors) definitely used the term "celebrities" a bit loosely. It's a bit like dancing with the """"stars"""".

When I saw the huffpost tweet about this yesterday, I was kind of shocked at how "not weird" I found the whole thing. I think upon hearing about it at first it was more shocking, but actually seeing it? Not really. It's Tyler Shields. Do I expect anything less? Frankly, no.

→ Don't forget you guys, I've been keeping up with my Vampire Diaries cast (and miscellaneous others) gallery over at EVERY DAMN THING. I've got a "no-frills" gallery thing kind of going on. I am tempted to make it more high tech but I haven't had the energy to do the research to make it happen. There are now Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies galleries as well. Some people I keep up with more than others, but whatever, it's just a quick reference guide and by no means a complete collection.

→ I have my first draft done, which needs a few changes, but I hope to have my video posted tonight. Going to start working on it as soon as I'm done with this post. I'm super excited to share it with you guys!

001. So I don't understand Tumblr. I admit it. I have no idea what the point is or what it's for. Is it just like a blog? Even if someone were to explain it to me, I can't promise I wouldn't continue to be confused.

002. I still haven't found any books in present tense. You Shall Know Our Velocity turned out to be just plain old past tense. Though, I'm still thinking of reading it. I also got this book Rendezvous in Black which looks like it might be a fun read.

003. I was working on this Dollhouse video about two months ago and just gave up. I don't know if I'll ever finish it or any other vid, ever again. It's sad. But possibly true.

004. Regarding Dollhouse. I'm slightly disappointed in the season thus far. I keep waiting for this to turn into a full-on ensemble and it's still just the Echo show. And call me crazy, but the Echo show mostly bores me. (As does the Paul show.) I almost think I wish TSCC would have been renewed instead. It always seemed like a toss-up, but not right now.

005. I really really like Eastwick. Well, maybe I just like Stars Hollow. Haha. Either way, I'm having fun watching this show.

006. I may have signed up for apocabigbang which is just the most hilarious thing ever. I haven't picked a fandom yet, and it's possible I'll chicken out at the last second. But yeah, it's a thought.

007. Stargate Universe. I don't hate it. I am curious to see more. I enjoyed the first three episodes. I like a lot of the characters. I'm just confused and intrigued enough to make this a regular thing.

008. I don't know if I've even talked about it on my LJ before but I was watching The Big Bang Theory at the end of last season. I think I've officially decided that I am going to give it up this season though. I'm just not laughing. Never was much of a sitcom person. Though Community and Modern Family are definitely making me laugh a lot this season.

009. I watch too much TV.

010. I know I promised/discussed a "life" post, but this is just as good right?

So, call me crazy, but as awesome as this line-up is, I was kind of burnt out by the end of it. I'm not used to watching three full hours of TV in a row. (What? I'm a grazer!)

I have been watching Friday Night Lights + BSG on Fridays up until now. I was waiting for it -- FNL -- to premiere on NBC to finish watching it instead of downloading it when it was on HDTV? HDNET? DirecTV? Idk!, but now with this line-up I think I'm going to end up doing that anyway. Course I could always watch it on NBC.com and be all legitimate about it -- whichever.

In other words, I was already maxed out at 2 hours in a row. Now with three? Man!

→ Dollhouse, 1.01, Ghost: ( brief (entirely unspoiled) speculation )

I'm pretty excited. I've pretty much let myself be quietly optimistic about Dollhouse, but my excitement is growing since Fox seems to be giving it plenty of ad-time from what I've seen. (Opposed to NBC's treatment of FNL.) Plus! T:SCC is coming back! Yay! Fridays are going to be crazy!awesome, ya'll. (Not that they aren't already. BSG, what?)

→ Matt & Evi are stinkin' cute. Nobody's got a right to look that adorable.

→ Speaking of LOST, I didn't watch this past week's show and I missed the last 15 minutes of the episode before that too, and I'm not really all that sad about it. There is, of course, the motivation to watch for fic purposes, but at the moment it's slight. We'll see.

→ Still reeling from this week's BSG, guys. Seriously? Damn.

→ I always start these posts with way more to say than I can remember by the end of them - I'll blame the sunshine. It's too nice of a day to remember stuff. You know?

→ TSCC? ( dot, dot, dot... ) I'm noticing that my reviews of this show are not so coherent and more about just joy and reveling in it. I like that.

→ I've come to the conclusion, during discussions with an anonymous source, that Taylor Kitsch just isn't very photogenic. He looks nice in a lot of his modeling shots, but with still frames and screen grabs from Friday Night Lights, etc? They just don't do him justice. He's one of those people who looks better in motion than in a single shot. Everything that makes him pop and sizzle on the screen just fades away. Is anybody feeling me on this?

I think Gale Harold can (sometimes be) like that as well.

→ Random thoughts. I mentioned to slybrunette on twitter recently that I'm an optimist. Later, I was talking with a friend, and I was noting just how many people I know who are pessimists. It really makes me feel like optimism is kind of a rare trait. I guess if I really think about it, I'm probably equal parts realist and optimist. So, what about you? Optimist? Pessimist? Realist? Some combination of the three? Is optimism actually as rare as it seems to be?

→ I worked extra long hours today and will be for the next few weeks leading up until Christmas. We have almost two weeks off and I don't get paid for them so the only way to have money come January will be to work extra hours now. This should be fun. Who wants to take bets on how cranky I will become? (Having to work a normal amount of hours like normal people? Say what?)

→ I loved last night's True Blood. I'm sure I could comment more. And I'm sure there were some things I didn't like, but for the most part? That was awesome. As usual. They cram so much into one episode it's crazy. Two really quick things: ( bill's girl + admiral cain ) I know that's not much but, what can I say? I'm a minimalist.

→ ( a rant about wednesday... so-to-speak ) Don't hate me because I'm intolerant of other people's week day preferences, okay? It's how I was brought up. It's not my fault. Friday is best, Wednesday forces me choke back the vomit. It's genetic. It's a very serious illness.

→ I was going to talk about a certain BSG spoiler (not plotty) but I think the cat is already out of the bag on that one. And I'm usually a spoiler-phobe when it comes to BSG so I'm surprised I even read it myself.

→ I had butter tarts for the first time yesterday. My parents brought them back from Ottawa. Mmm, good. Now I understand why you Canadians are such a nice and friendly bunch. It's the butter tarts!

→ I finished almost all of my Christmas shopping this morning. But I cheated and I shopped online. And only 2 items were of the DVD/CD variety. I'm truly proud. I have some final things to get, grandma and friends online, but the majority of it is done! And I think everyone is going to love what I got them, which is a really great feeling. Wee! Christmas!

→ I'm going to go watch TSCC on my DVR now.

→ Got my yuletide assignment! And it's for a fandom I haven't ever written! (I hope that's not giving away too much, there are like forty berjillion fandoms I've never written, lol.) Kind of nervous/excited. I didn't put together my letter to my yuletide author yet. Maybe I'll get around to that this afternoon.

I didn't get a chance to watch TSCC last night so I fired up the DVR a half hour before work and played about the first 30 minutes of the most recent episode. Holy crap! I did not want to leave for work! So good! I was squeeing all over the place! (That sounds dirty.) But seriously!
